On 11 May 2026, an online round-table discussion was held to present the volumes containing the proceedings of the conference series I Collegi per stranieri a Roma. Organised jointly by the Istituto Nazionale di Studi Romani and the Centro Studi Emigrazione, the discussion was moderated by Matteo Sanfilippo and featured the participation of the two editors, Alessandro Boccolini and Péter Tusor (Tusor’s reflections are available in Hungarian here and in Italian here).
The three volumes presented on the occasion were the following:

In the course of the discussion, Péter Tusor reflected on the origins of the long-standing scholarly cooperation between the Fraknói Research Group, the Istituto Nazionale di Studi Romani, and the Centre for Central European and Papal Historical Studies at the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, emphasising that the Vatican Archives constituted the original point of convergence for this collaboration. Its principal milestones have been the jointly organised international symposia, including most recently the Barberini e l'Europa series, the I Collegi per stranieri a Roma conferences (16th–20th centuries), and the scholarly conference Protagonisti e Collaboratori – Studiosi provenienti dall’Europa centro-orientale presso gli archivi della Santa Sede tra il 1881 e il 1918, organised on the occasion of the Fraknói centenary. The papers presented at these conferences have subsequently appeared, with the participation of the Research Group, in edited volumes published by Edizioni Sette Città in Viterbo.
Tusor concluded by noting that he and Professor Boccolini are currently working on the forthcoming, already twenty-eighth volume of the Collectanea Vaticana Hungariae series.
