Over the past years, the Fraknói Research Group has maintained its nearly two-decade-long active collaboration with the Istituto Nazionale di Studi Romani and the Papal and Central European Research Center of the University of Viterbo. The depth of this cooperation is reflected in joint research efforts, the organization of scholarly conferences (2018 Budapest, 2019 Rome, 2021 Rome, 2022 Rome, 2023 Rome, 2024 Rome), and the publication of a series of volumes by prestigious international publishers.
Within the framework of this collaboration, the Istituto Nazionale di Studi Romani, in partnership with the Fraknói Research Group, other Roman and Italian academic institutions, and the Faculty of Theology of Université Laval in Quebec, organized the conference titled Collegi per stranieri a Roma dalla Grande guerra a oggi on December 13, 2024, in a hybrid format. From the Hungarian side, two former students of the Collegium Germanicum et Hungaricum addressed Central European and Hungarian perspectives, while Péter Tusor presented a brief evaluation of the three years of joint research under the title Saluti finali a conclusione di tre anni di ricerca.
The proceedings of the scientific symposium can be viewed [here]. The editing of the conference papers into a volume has already commenced.
