On Thursday, 9 October 2025, at 6:00 p.m., the Slovak Historical Institute hosted the book launch of Dejiny slovenského historického výskumu v Ríme [The History of Slovak Historical Research in Rome], authored by Ivana A. Petranský, a research fellow of the Institute. The event was moderated by the Slovak historian Beáta Katrebová Blehová. The Fraknói Research Group was represented on this occasion by Katalin Nagy, CPH fellow and resident researcher of the Group at the Vatican Archives.

2025. October 14.

On October 8, 2025, following the event in Székesfehérvár, the presentation of the large-scale project Bishop Lexicon 1804–1918 — The Dioceses and Bishops of Hungary (1804–1918). An Institutional and Biographical Lexicon, Vols. I–IV (CST I/7), edited by Zsófia Szirtes, Péter Tusor, and Rupert Klieber (Budapest, 2025) — took place in the ceremonial hall of the Central Seminary.


2025. October 8.

On 7 November 2025, a conference entitled “MTA 200 – Mohács 500. The Latest Research in Archaeology, Anthropology and History” was held at the headquarters of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences - HAS (MTA, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, bicentennial conference). The event was organized by the Pécs and Szeged Regional Committees of the HAS as part of the Academy’s bicentennial celebrations. The Fraknói Research Group was represented by Tamás Fedeles, who also took part in organizing the conference, as well as by Tamás Kuppa and Gábor Nemes, both of whom delivered papers in the history section chaired by Academician László Solymosi.

The Vilmos Fraknói Vatican Historical Research Group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Péter Pázmány Catholic University was established in the June of 2012 as the ‘Impetus’ Church History Research Group in the frame of the Church History Research Institute of the University founded by Rector Péter Erdő in 1999. It carries on independently the latter’s publications (Bibliotheca Historiae Ecclesiasticae Universitatis Catholicae de Petro Pázmány Nuncupatae) and researches in Rome and in Vienna, with the involvement of academic and other funding sources.
